The Beauty of God’s Creation

There was a gentle reminder for me over the weekend to be very present and in the moment. Sometimes, we are so busy with our routines, that it almost feels as if we are on auto-pilot or as my therapist would say, “checked out”.

Well I tried something new, I took a visit to a park and went on a walking trail and at the end of it was a beautiful waterfall. I stood at the top of the hill looking at all the other people who were brave enough to climb down huge rugged rocks to experience the waterfall just a few feet away.

I pondered on it and said am I going to let fear get in the way or the thought of getting halfway there and scared to go any further. I’m grateful that there were people with me that encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and enjoy the experience, and I am so glad I did!

It is so amazing when you can really reflect on God’s creation on the earth. His marvelous works, every detail well thought out, and it was such a peaceful and reflective experience.

I’m reminded of the verse in Psalm 104:13, “He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.” To really reflect how the earth responds, the water flows, the wind blows, the trees know when to drop their leaves and when to reproduce, it all responds in worship to God, to its creator.

I wanted to share this experience to encourage you to see more of God’s love and faithfulness towards you each day. In what ways are you reminded of God’s goodness in your life? Write it out and see what comes up for you. Be blessed!
