Pay Attention To The Nudges: Lessons In Refinement

As 2025 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on a year that was, honestly, challenging. It was a year of refinement of being tested, redirected, and stretched in ways I didn’t always understand. There were moments when I overcommitted, said “yes” impulsively, and gave chance after chance, only to feel let down. I cried, I questioned, and I had to face the hardest truths: that sometimes, I had been moving through life passively, letting fear of disappointing others guide my choices instead of trusting God’s timing.

There were disruptions, unexpected setbacks, injuries, and moments I couldn’t explain. But now I see these weren’t just obstacles they were nudges. Gentle, sometimes painful reminders to pause, reflect, and be still. To trust that God sees what I cannot, that His timing is perfect, and that sometimes the best action is to wait.

It hurts to sit on the sidelines when your heart is ready to move forward, but faith often calls us to patience. Obedience isn’t always about doing; sometimes it’s about listening. It’s about noticing the nudges, pausing, and aligning your next steps with purpose and clarity.

As we step into 2026, I want to encourage you to embrace these lessons:

Pay attention to the nudges: When life redirects you, pause and ask why. There’s wisdom in the wait.

Reflect before committing: Instead of reacting out of guilt or fear, intentionally seek guidance through prayer and discernment.

Trust the refinement: Every challenge you faced in 2025 was shaping you, preparing you for the next season.

Move with purpose: When it is time to act, do so with clarity, confidence, and faith in God’s plan.

Your past year doesn’t define you, it refines you. Let 2026 be a year of intentional steps, purposeful yeses, and peace in the waiting. Listen to the nudges, trust the process, and walk boldly into the season God has prepared for you.

I pray this has been an encouragement to you today. Be Blessed.
