You have dependence on God! In this life, there is so much that we could focus on that causes anxiety, doubt, worry and discouragement, it could even cause us to be hesitant in stepping into boldness.
However, I’ve learned that what you focus your heart and mind on matters. God is with you every step of your journey even the days you may not feel that he is there, but he is.
Dependence On God
You have to know your dependence on God, that there is nothing for you to be anxious about because God knows what you need and He knows what is best for you, even in those difficult moments.
I’m reminded of the verse in Philippians 4:6-7, and it states, “Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God, and God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer and Thankfulness
Prayer and thankfulness to God is key. Your gratitude and faith that God’s words will not return unto Him void is comforting in the midst of any challenge or situation. He knows the meditations of your heart, even the things that you may be afraid to do or that you know will help you expand in your life.
Trust God
You can trust in God. His love is unfailing. It is revealed in your everyday environment. There was a time that I was gearing myself up to try something new. I was so nervous, and it just seemed as if the day started weird, and I was on my way to grab a coffee after saying I needed a moment, and decided to take a drive to the coffee shop. I ordered my fav and when the lady presented my coffee, it had a sweet note on the top of the cup. At that moment, I smiled and laughed and said, “Lord, I thank you.”
This kind gesture may seem like nothing to some people, however in that moment I felt that God just wanted me to smile. He is such a good Father, and He always makes the crooked path straight before you; strategically placing the right people on your path.

In Jeremiah 17:7-8, it states, “Most blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.
You have to know that when you look to God; there is a radiance that reflects from you. That you are blessed when you rely on God in everything that you do. You will be like a fruitful tree, with no cares or worries because you know that God has gone ahead of you, and that you are secure. He is your place of safety and security. He covers you, He protects you, leads and guides you on the path He has for you.
Do not be afraid when the winds blow or circumstances may happen. Trust and rely on Him, that if He opened the door for you; He will see you through it. Focus on Him and have faith that you are in His hands.
Reflection
What is something that you have been afraid to do, but you know that it is an opportunity to grow and expand? Write it out and give it to God to receive His insight and wisdom to make the faith decision.
