This past week has been so enlightening for me. There’s so much happening around us, in our homes, our communities, and the world. Sometimes it feels impossible not to notice, even when we try to tune it out.
Everywhere we go, people seem rushed, distracted, or unaware. It can be discouraging. There are moments when I’ve wanted to speak up, but chose to hold my peace, and in those moments, I find myself walking around the house, simply talking to God.
And honestly? That’s the best thing we can do. Pray for your community. Pray for those around you. Then step into the world with a smile, encouragement, and kindness.
You Don’t Have to Carry the World’s Problems
It’s so easy to want to fix everything.
We question: “Why are they doing that?” or “Why can’t they just…?” But, that’s not your burden to carry.
The Word of God reminds us:
“Cast your burdens on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
God doesn’t want you weighed down by the world’s problems. He wants you free, light, and filled with peace.
Focus on What God Has Placed in Your Hands
You have great responsibilities, your children, your home, yourself and those God has entrusted to you. That’s more than enough to steward faithfully.
I know it gets hard sometimes. Maybe you’ve found yourself in the kitchen crying in the middle of dinner prep, I’ve been there too. As moms, we often want to fix everything, and that can leave us completely depleted.
But here’s the truth:
Do what you can and give God the rest.
“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
“Be still and know that He is God.” Psalm 46:10
He’s present in your situation. Trust His leading, His guidance, and His plan, even here, even now.
Practical Steps to Find Peace and Clarity
Here are a few small, intentional steps that can help you see change and regain peace in your day-to-day life:
Pray and Release
When something weighs heavy on your heart, pray about it and release it to God. Speak it out loud if you need to.
Write It Down
Grab a notebook or journal. Write out what’s in your control and what’s not.
What can you take action on today?
What needs to be surrendered to God?
Take Small, Purposeful Action
From your list, choose one simple thing you can do today, something that brings peace, order, or joy to your home.
Celebrate Small Wins
End each day by writing down one thing you did well or one way you saw God’s hand at work.
Rest in His Presence
Sit quietly with God, even if just for five minutes. Let His peace calm your thoughts and refill your spirit.
You’re Doing Better Than You Think
You really are doing a great job, you really are a great mom, you really are doing your very best. The fruit always shows.
Keep showing up, trusting God, and choosing kindness.
I pray that this message blesses you, and that God pours out His wisdom and clarity in this season of your life.
Be blessed and encouraged!
