Let’s talk about finding happiness within yourself. Oftentimes we become over productive in our goals and the things that we want to accomplish. It can even seem at times that we want to speed things up or take them into our own hands because it’s taking too long. There is a gratitude that comes with enjoying the journey
Finding happiness within is acknowledging that God is the center of your life and that He has you in His hands. He knows the path He is taking you on and the destination ahead. Sometimes during this journey there are trials that come to make us stronger and to prune us and break off those things that have held us back in the past.
There is a gratitude that comes when you’re present and enjoy the journey, trusting that God is leading you every step of the way.
There was a moment where I decided to disconnect from being on the laptop, strolling social media or even writing my to-dos, and I was present. I watched several, funny and entertaining movies with my family. I cooked, and we enjoyed sitting and eating together, even letting our creativity flow by trying new things with new equipment we purchased.
In this moment, I realized how detached I was from really being present. Even though we think being present is being there physically, but it is also our mind not pondering off on work, what we have to do or things we forgot about, but actually laughing and talking to those we love.
This is what enjoying the journey is all about. Even though we have things we have to do and goals and visions we have written out and committed to the Father. We have to enjoy our labor, knowing that it is not in vain and each day take intentional steps of faith, trusting that God is in control of it all.

Bible Verse for Meditation: Ecclesiastes 3:12-14
I’m reminded of the verse in Ecclesiastes 3:12-14, “I know that there is nothing better for them than to be glad and to get and do good as long as they live; And also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God. I know that whatever God does, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor anything taken from it. And God does it so that men will [reverently] fear Him [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is].”
This life is a gift from God, and you have to know that you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. That is one of His many promises to you. Everyday, show up in the joy of the Lord, knowing that you are graced and favored for where you are and where he is guiding you to. I pray this has been a blessing to you.
In what ways are you being more present in everyday life, write it out.
