Have you ever just gotten to the point where it is as if you are standing and watching yourself? You’re wondering how I got to this point, this state of mind, these actions. I believe we’ve all been there. Whether it is being consumed with someone else’s life or being so overwhelmed about the what ifs that you forget to enjoy the moment, the day that God has given to you, filled with purpose and life.
I realized that it is imperative that you focus on you. That you focus on what brings you life, peace, joy, healing and happiness. Really letting go of control is so freeing, when you just let people be who they are and not force, coerce, or indirectly impress upon them change. Only God can change the hearts of men, only he can transform them. Oftentimes, we don’t even realize that we can even get in the way of someone else’s transformation and what God is working in and through them because we are enabling and trying to control the person.
Pouring back into yourself is the best thing you can do for You! Use all that energy that you are giving towards others and what they are doing, what they are working on and put it towards your goals and the vision God has given you.
I’m reminded of the verse in Psalm Ch. 139: 17, “How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God: how great is the sum of them!” God has purpose in you and through you to do in this earth. His thoughts for us are so many that we can not even count. Just think of how precious you are to the Father, that he took time in creating you just as you are, with purpose, with destiny.
I even think about when Jesus said, “I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” John 6:35
I meditate on that to know that I can eat of His bread and drink of His cup and be satisfied, be filled with life, vitality, strength, endurance. That I can empty myself of me and be full of the love of Christ Jesus, have his mind, understanding, peace. That as I draw close to Him, there is a love that can not be satisfied by the world or worldly things. He is the Prince of Peace.
I want to encourage you to focus and pour into you. Allow God to fill you up, give you instruction that you align to His perfect will and plan He has for your life. Be blessed!
